What there is
The range is deliberately small. Two items, one motif: "Coffee Time" in a Japanese-inspired design, once as a tote bag in the Black Edition for 12.50 euros, once as a T-shirt for 17.50 euros. Both run through the same online shop as the beans, the equipment and the gift vouchers.
Merch is a side matter for us. It is something for people who like the café and want to carry a bit of it around with them. That is why there are two items and not twenty, and why they do not rotate every season.
Why a bag and a shirt
Both are things that get used. Over a year a cloth bag replaces a stack of plastic ones, and a shirt gets worn until it is worn out. That fits a café working with a reusable cup scheme far better than a shelf full of mugs, keyrings and fridge magnets that disappear into a drawer after two weeks.
