Can I bring a stroller to Green Wall Coffee?
Only to a limited extent. There are three steps at the entrance, and a stroller only fits in the front area when it is not too busy. We help carrying it in when there is time.
What stands in a stroller's way
Two things. First the three steps at the entrance: the access is not step-free, so a stroller has to be lifted — with a loaded one, that is hard to manage alone. Second, the space. The front area has 16 seats in a modest footprint; when the café is busy a stroller simply gets in the way, both for other guests and for you.
We are glad to help carry it in. Honestly though: when it is busy we are behind the machine and often cannot. So it is not something to count on.
The easier option
There are eight seats on the bench outside, covered by an awning and usable all year. The steps do not apply there, the stroller can stand beside you, and nobody has to manoeuvre through narrow rows. For a visit with a stroller that is the better choice in most cases.
In practice at Green Wall Coffee
Our café at Sophienstraße 27 in Berlin-Lichtenberg is small, and there is no dressing that up. With a stroller you will have an easier time outside than inside — though when it is quiet, the inside works fine too.
